I need to send a message to customers, each customer (and so each e-mailadress) should receive a different attachment.
Is it possible to personalize attachments in Maillist King? How does it work?

Hi Naomi

MLK supports personalized attachments by using personalization fields in filenames, for example, if each of your members had a docx filename that contained their member ID then you could select:

And specify:

C:\My Attachments\%MemberID%.docx

Another way is to use a custom field that you have filled for each member (e.g. by importing from an Excel file:

%Field:UserAttachment%

A final way is simply to send directly to a user list in an excel spreadsheet and use one column as a custom attachment source.

Hi Nigel

Thank you for your explanations.
I tried a few times now but I cannot seem to get it working.

Each receiver will have a personal pdf file.
I’ll name the file “addendum1”, “addendum2” and so on.
I need to specify this name in the CSV that I upload, right?
When I do so, I cannot link it to: Attachment.

Sorry to bother you with this, but could you give me a bit more explanations please?

Thank you

Hi Naomi

Here is an example...

1. Create an Excel file with an attachment column specifying files to attach:

2. In MLK, click the button under "New Email", then "New Email to contacts file"

3. Browse to your Excel file and check the fields are set correctly

4. Type your message

5. Click Personalize > Attach Personalized File...

6. Type the %Column:XYZ% where XYZ is the name of the attachments column (I find it easiest to copy and paste it from the main editor window)

7. Click Send
