If I buy a pre-recorded commercial DVD e.g. of an opera, it typically provides subtitles which I may switch on or off at will on my DVD player, while playing the disc.
It would be very nice if PixPlay could provide an option to allow superimposed subtitles to be composed, which could be switched off or on at playback time, in this way. For a holiday slideshow of landscape photographs, one does not want to insert too many title slides, which break up the performance, but there may come a time when one can no longer remember what some photos, in between the title slides, are of.
To be able to compose occasional subtitles while making the PixPlay project, but have them set off by default in the resulting DVD, would be very useful. If one's memory fails while watching the DVD, one could temporarily switch on subtitles on the player, and see what one had written.
(My PixPlay projects do not have music, so the AUDIO_TS folder of the output is empty. Any sound effects from embedded video clips are included in the files in the VIDEO_TS folder.)
Would it be possible, within the format which PixPlay outputs, to provide this option?
Currently I have PixPlay version 6.12, but I have not noticed anything about switchable subtitles in posts about later versions. |

Hi
I'm afraid that is not an option at this time, but it would cool feature for a future version. We'll put it on the to-do list.
