Hi Nigel,
thank you for this software, I just discovered it after receiving your newsletter. I do some email support and this seems to be quite useful. As a new user, I have some questions/suggestions and hope you can help!
Issues:
- when using the date fields (like %Now_Long_Date:+1d%), the date inserted seems to be taken from the OS language. If using a French based computer, this puts the date in French, however this is not useful if my Quick Text is in English. Would it be possible to add a parameter setting the insertion language (like: %Now_Long_Date:EN% or %Now_Long_Date:+1d-EN%)
- I have a bug when trying to create a "New Folder" from the Text lightning window (not from a New Text wizard). I use Office 2010 and I open the Text Lightning window. I click "New Folder", type a name and I see it in the list. However, once I close the Text Lightning window, the folder disappear.
Suggestions:
- In Options -> Toolbar, add an option to make it possible to remove the "Quick Move Folder" button from the toolbar. I have yet to decide if this button is really useful for me.
- "Quick Move" button too easy to press by mistake (since it looks so much like the "Text Lightning button"). Possible improvement: add the arrow under the button (like the Copy button) and list the name of the folder for quick move. Only clicking on such folder name would move the message. It would also allow to add multiple quick-move folders (instead of just one).
Thanks!
Neb

Hi Neb
1. Unfortunately it is not a simple process to translate the date, as TXL relies on Windows to do all the date handling, and that would mean we would need to code it ourselves. You might be better to use a short date
2. This is a limitation in the way TXL handles folders. If they are empty it does not show them in the normal selector. You should display the main TXL window to see empty folders
3. Yes, it would be good to disable specific buttons. We will look at that for a future release
4. Yes, we'll look into that.
