After having endless problems trying to import and work with a list of 400k (After doing an Nigel optimize - which did not work) i then decided to start a new database
I then tried to sort on custom fields and found that this is still not possible I then tried to find ina small list if 3000 and the program once again hangs
I have 8 gb Ram on 64bit 8 core lenovo
just about everything I need in this program seems to not work
I also see that I cant import without an email field - i want to mainly use this program to send sms's so why should I be locked down with this requirement

I now have at least three unanswered forum questions

hanging imports
changing and not deleting custom fields
saving import mapping
DB Sync

and now custom field find hanging

Hi

Custom field searching in your version (v10.52) was very slow with large databases, which was one of the reasons custom field handling was completely overhauled in v11.

To import contacts without addresses you need to go into View > Options, Database, Advanced Database Settings and allow contacts without email addresses.

Your other questions have all been answered with exception to the one regarding DB synchronization which is a question outside of supported usage.
