When I setup image motion on my slideshows in DVD Pixplay, it shows a choppy and jerky panning movement in the photo. I am using DVD Pixplay version 4 with Windows Vista with a PC that has two 2.5 GHZ CPUs and 3 GB of RAM. Is there known bug fixes in DVD Pixplay to the jerky image motion in versions after version 4 or is there some other issue involved?

Hi

I'm not sure that you would see smoother motion effects in the newer version. It depends on the reason for the jerkiness. Is this a built in motion effect or a custom selection you have set for the image. Is it trying to move too far too fast?

Actually I noticed the jerking more when the panning only goes a shorter distance across the photo, not the longer distance. I don't notice it as much for zooming in or out.

Just about all of the image motions are customs, not presets. Would the customs cause more jerking motions?

Jerkiness generally occurs where zooming and scrolling occur simultaneously.

This should occur least when using the presets because PixPlay will ensure this kind of double motion does not occur.

When using custom effects you can use the Quick Set function to match the sizes or alignment (to reduce the effect).

Where is the Quickset function for image motion in DVD Pixplay? I see the preset functions but not the Quickset.

Hi

In v7 it is available when selecting Frame > Frame Properties, "Motion Effect" tab.
