Nigel,
When I start my computer, I receive the error message "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.
I'm running MLK v10.52R. I'm running a Windows 7 system and Outlook 2010 (64 bit).
When I check for the MLK add-in, there is the add-in is listed, but there is no location listed.
I go to Manage Add-ins and see that the MLK add-in is not checked in Add-ins Available list. I try to check the MLK add-in and is shows that the "Load Behavior: Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during loading of the COM Add-in."
Any suggestions??

Hi Howard
MLK won't add a toolbar to Outlook 2010 64bit, only the 32bit version.
Regarding the "No default email client" error, are you saying this is coming from within MLK? What are you doing in MLK at the time? Under View > Options, Incoming, what retrieval method are you using? Outlook?

Hi there Nigel,
View > Options, Email Process & Sending Email = Outlook View > Options, Other = Outlook 2010 (64 bit)
I really do not know where that error is coming from. It occurs at machine start-up.
I updated my Quickbooks 2009 to QB 2012 because it wouldn't talk to Outlook. I received this message when I launched QB 2009.
I went to Outlook to see if it was in fact the default mail client and it appears to be. File > Options: General - Start Up Options.
I then went to check the add-ins and that's when I noticed that there appeared to be a disconnect between Outlook and MLK. I assumed that the run time error to pop the message.

Hi Howard
Assuming MLK does not start up with windows then the error is not related to MLK.
Is MLK able to retrieve and send messages through Outlook OK?

Send is okay. I don't know about retrieve. I do not use MLK in that fashion.
