Nigel. Is it possible when creating a slide show from video clips to have not only the video clip background sound but to also add a music file to play concurrent. If possible is the volumne level of the Music file adjustable. If the answer is no do you have any suggestions

Hi

I'm afraid it is not possible. There may be tools available to combine the multiple audio sources, but I am not aware of any.

The good news is Movie maker allows me to have video clip with its background sound plus I can add background music with the volumne set.I can set that music to fade out at any point in the show. I can also add still images in the between Video clips and play the music over the top.
The bad news I cannot burn to DVd or burn multi slide shows and therefore I wish to bring this into PIxplay.I save the MM file on the computer and try to bring it into Pixplay but the format is not recognised .
I suspect I am approaching this wrong

Ok Nigel.
It works and gives me the flexability I am looking for.
Beware of one strange effect.
When I select preview with Video clips I get normaly just the sound but no picture but with this file all you get is black screen with no sound. No problem as I then burnt it onto a dvd as a check and played it on TV and it was fine

Thanks for your help

Terry

Hi Terry

You may need codec for the video format. Install a pack such as K-Lite:

http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

or Ffdshow:
