I seem to remember this from early 2010...last usage (earlier version).

I have successfully burned two Xmas slide shows. Then when I go back to the "project" (.pxp file) in order to make changes, I get an error message that says I am "missing....title pages"... (.dpg files). But..all other files are there!!!

What is most logical problem here??? This has happened several times during construction of the .pxp files...but, heretofore I just redid the title pages and moved on.

AHA!!! I have a clue!!! It seems that the title pages turned into "REVEAL EFFECT"(s) In place of each title page...at the same location I had put in titles....

So...I just put in new titles (guided by my BURNED copy, which is OK..) and deleted the "reveal effect"(s)

I am now saving, crossing my fingers...and movin on-----

Hope you had a great New Year, down under (or is it over under?? That International Week Line has always confused me....) Then again, who knows what happens in Hobbit Land!!!!

Ooops, follow up to "missing titles" I see now that the "REVEAL EFFECT" also shows up as the motion effect for a good title page.

What is different is the little icon at the left of the column. It is a "?." So...It seems that the IMAGE and WORDS are missing..but the placeholder is still there...

I am now experimenting with closing without saving (is that possible??)

Hi Pat

Had a good, but rather quiet New Years down here. Hope yours was a bit more exciting :-)

Can you confirm whether you are using the latest version, v6.18.

And if so, please give me the steps to reproduce the error.

Version 6.16 (just loaded two weeks ago..

In response to your second question. I have no idea what steps create the problem. I create a project, with titles....burn it to some CD's for distribution....and often(one time in five??), when I want to make changes...I go back to open the project...and get the error messge: Missing title pages (.dpg files). Sure enough, there is a place holder for each title,in the PXP file...but no image/data...when I click that listing in the summary (list of images) I just get a black thumbnail...

OK....I will continue to use the program...and just be on the watch for the problem. BTW, I tried a change/close, without save. It auto-saves...

NO biggee...I was just hoping you had a magic bullet...

I;ll keep you posted...

Hi

What anti-virus software are you using? Can you check its logs to ensure it hasn't done something silly?

Is there anything else on your system that may be deleting files?

Next time it happens please select Help > Send Email to Support (so it will send me your logs).
