I haven't used the software in a long time, but now I'm getting back into it. I have version 3.0 and when I click on to drag a song be it, mp3 file, the song won't play it. I don't get it from iTunes, I have all my music in my My Music folder, but the error message is telling me that you may not have adequate drivers to play this format. I was able to before so I don't know what the deal is. I even did a test just to see and it won't play any song but everything else works. I'm wondering if there's an update I missed or if anyone else had this problem.

First, update the program to version 3.35--- its free if you are a registered owner.

Second, Please download the MCI Tester, from this link:

http://www.xequte.com/download/mcitester.exe

If needed ,and you are lacking an MP3 driver. You should install a codec pack such as:
K-Lite: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
or
Ffdshow: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

The thanks belongs to Nigel for developing that program.

He created it quite a while back for customers who'd had their MCI drivers messed up after installing multimedia software (that failed to clean up themselves properly when uninstalled).

Windows should really be better at preventing programs from doing this, but alas it is left to companies like Nigel's Xequte to clean up the mess
