OK, I know this has probably already been addressed in this forum dozens of times, but I'm in a hurry and on a deadline and don't have time to search for the answer. Sorry about that! I just downloaded and registered v.3.35 yesterday. Kept meaning to do this, but just kept putting it off, and now I need to get a project done PDQ! My problem: I'VE added several MP3 music files to my slideshow, enough to equal the approximate length of time the slides run. When I preview the show, the first song plays, but none of the rest do. What do I need to do to get all the the music files to play one after the other? Thanks for your response!

Hi

Is this when you preview the slideshow or when you play your burned disk (or both)?

Do you get an error when you try to play the files under Edit>Slideshow Properties, Background Music?

Just when previewing. I haven't burned to disk yet. When I go to Edit/Slideshow Properties/Background Music, and choose to play the sound file, some play and some don't. But I do not get an error message. Some of the music was ripped from CD in mp3 format, but several were mp3 viles purchased & downloaded from the Internet. All of the ripped songs play, and some of the downloaded songs play, if that is significant. Also, the first song (which is the only one that plays when previewing the slideshow) is one ripped from CD. The next song in the sequence is a downloaded mp3 file. I have never previewed the entire show, so perhaps some of the others would play when enough time had elapsed.

It is likely that they are a different type (e.g. higher bitrate) of MP3 and that is causing problems for the MP3 driver that PixPlay is using to playback the sound during preview (it uses your standard drivers).

This is unlikely to affect the actual disk creation itself. Try going into File>Burn Slideshow and clicking the Test button. I expect you will get your music.

You were right on! Music worked fine when running test. Thanks a million! But don't be surprised if I'm back asking more newbie questions before I finish this project! I have been reading the forums for more than a year. The great support is one of the things that sold me on the program. Until next time . . .
