Hello,

is it possible to insert multiple images (each on new page) as one operation in DijiAlbum? (I am still using DijiAlbum v 6)

Sure, just use the "Insert Pages Wizard" under the Edit menu. You'll find lots of options regarding layouts, captions and other items for the pages that are automatically added for a selection of images.
