Hi,
Had a problem with DSL today while MLK was sending messages and I could see from the "Message Sending Progress" window that the balance were flushing out, so I decided to "Pause Sending" while I fixed the DSL problem.
When I went back in to "Sending tasks" and did a "Send now" on the only task that was in there, it restarted from where I had paused it and had forgotten about all the failures prior to the pause. I can get the list of failed addresses from the log and resend them but is this a known problem or did I do something wrong?
I had a similar problem last week and let MLK finish flushing out the balance of the addresses. Then when it asked me if I wanted to resend to the failed addresses now, I said no thinking that the failures would then be in the Sending Tasks to be sent later. But once the DSL was fixed, when I went back in, the Sending Tasks list was empty. Is it possible to be given a choice here? I.e. scrap the balance or save in sending tasks to be sent later?
Thanks,
Yvonne

Hi Yvonne
Firstly, what version are you using?
Go into View>Sending Tasks, select the Task and click the View Recipients button. It should show which recipients were successfully delivered to, which were not, and which are pending.

Hi,
It's 6.24.
The "pause sending" task is no longer in the sending task list but it did end up sending to all - it was just when I restarted it, the "message sending progress" window didn't show the total including the ones that hadn't been sent, only the ones it hadn't yet tried. So that's no problem now I know.
But for the "resend to failed addresses now" window, is it right that if I answer "no" there is no sending task saved?
Thanks,
Yvonne

Hi Yvonne
MLK never deletes sending tasks, they are only deleted when you delete them under View>Sending Tasks or when using File>Optimize Database.
If you click No when initially prompted whether to resend to failed addresses the task will still be available under View>Sending Tasks (either the Pending or Completed tab)
