Hi Rayz

> Does an email remain in the database

All unsubscribed/deleted members are removed from the "member" table of the database and inserted into the "removed" table.

> Can in all 4 cases, the status of the subscriber be modified to any one of the other statuses

Firstly, there are only three statuses (unsubscribed/undeliverable/deleted) as a "blocked" member cannot be added to the mailing list.

The status cannot be changed, can you tell me why you would want to.

> Is there any case where the email is actually deleted from database?

Yes, if you delete it from the "member" table (main screen) and then you delete it from the "removed" table (View > History and Errors, Removals tab).

Hi Riccardo

"Remove from mailing list" is the "Unsubscribe" option.

Thnnks for the prompt reply,

1- Does an email remain in the database in all case or is it actually erase from the database

2- Can in all 4 cases, the status of the subscriber be modified to any one of the other statuses

3- Is there any case where the email is actually deleted from database?

Thanks.

With reference to the "Unsubscribe members" explaination I can't find any "unsubscribe" option under the List>Add/Remove addresses but only the following: 1) Add to mailing list; 2) Remove from mailing list; 3) Process as undeliverable recipient. MLK version in use is 8.55r. Did I look in the wrong place? Thanks.

o Unsubscribe members

Addresses that have been removed by users sending an UNSUBSCRIBE email or your selecting List > Add/Remove addresses and choosing unsubscribe. You can block them from being re-subscribed by selecting the unsubscribe option under View > Options, Blocking

o Deleted addresses

Addresses that the Admin has removed by selecting and clicking "Delete"

o Removed members (due to undeliverable)

Addresses that have been automatically removed because too many of your messages have bounced back as undeliverable. You can configure this under View > Options, Undeliverable

o Blocked addresses

Any addresses you have explicitly specified that cannot join your mailing list (under View > Options, Blocking)
