DVD PixPlay uses the system codecs for previewing videos and so it is possible that this video type does not have an adequate driver.
You could install a codec pack such as K-Lite:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
Or convert the video file to a more standard video format as described at:
http://www.xequte.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3734
