I have just loaded the videos taken from my video camera on christmas day to make a slideshow but no sound is coming through. When I play the videos normally I have no problem with the sound, but as soon as i load them into pixplay the sound vanishes

OK, my only other suggestion is that you try installing a codec pack such as K-Lite:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

or Ffdshow:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

Hmmm,

How about if you use the "Check Multimedia driver" under View > Options, Other, Advanced (in PixPlay)?

If so, click it.

What version of Windows are you using?

Hi

MLK uses your standard windows drivers for multimedia playback during a preview, so if they are mis-configured then such problems occur.

Please download the MCI Tester, run it and let us know what results you get for .mpg:

I am using Vista Home Premium
The audio is clear when I do a test like you suggested, but why can't I hear it on preview??

Hi

What type of video files are they?

What version of windows do you use?

If you select File > Burn Slideshow and click "Test" does the audio play?
