Hi

There are two products that are known to cause issues with DVD PixPlay:

Kaspersky

When burning a project containing multiple videos PixPlay may encounter the error:

"Error opening input video file "C:\Local Settings\Temp\~dpp\_dp_Slideshow_3713.mpg -- No such file or directory"

Or

"XML creation error: C:\Local Settings\Temp\_dp_dvd.xml"

BitDefender

When burning your slideshow you may get:

"Convert Error: Conversion failed due to library load error. Try restarting Windows!"
(Due to unexpected MCL Format: 2147483647)

These issues are due to the way these anti-virus products handle unknown files, and not to issues in DVD PixPlay. We have notified the vendors of the issue, but you may need to disable your A/V software if you encounter issues when burning with these two products.

We have also had reports of AVAST causing the error:

Unexpected error encountered while converting slideshow. Contact Xequte support.

For the record, if you want a good anti-virus product we heartily recommend Microsoft Security Essentials:

We run it on all of our systems. It works flawlessly and it's free!
