I have had PIX PLAY for several years. No issues, until now...I make VCDs using my own ASHAMPOO CD BURNER, and that solved a big problem of bad video and music playing. Now I have a nother problem.. PIX PLAY wont let me use DVDs + or -, in either of my burners one external { Sony} and one internal {H-P] I have tried different DVS brands and I still get this message "Disk is not blank, insert a new disk" "Please insert a writable disk" I have Win XP Maybe some one reading this will be able to help me...Thank you Marsh

Hi Marsh

You can also try burning with your normal burning software to see if DVD PixPlay has some incompatibility

Detailed instructions are available at:

The following error message may occur when you try to write to a DVD-R or DVD-RW if the driver is corrupted:

There is no disc in the drive. Please insert a writable DVD into drive.

If you are using a driver from the manufacturer of the drive and not the driver that is supplied by Microsoft, make sure that you have the driver available. You may want to remove the driver and reinstall it if it has become corrupted.

To remove and reinstall the device driver for the DVD-R drive or the DVD-RW drive:

1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
3. Click the drive that uses the driver you want to remove.
4. On the Action menu, click Uninstall.

When you are prompted to confirm the removal, click OK.
5. On the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes.

Hi Marsh

What happened between when PixPlay worked correctly and when the disks it created became unreadable? In particular did you change any settings or the type of disks you are using?
