I have just bought myself a pico projector so I can inflict my slideshows on more people :-) It is a 3MPro150 I am having trouble with the supported video files though. I can't find a version that it will read. I know the projector works as I can download a snippet MPEG saved from a video camera and it plays it fine.

does this help? (from a review site)
Video, image and audio file support is limited to 3GPP, MOV and AVI container formats, with MPEG-4 and H.264 codecs.

I tried burning a .avi and all I got was the music soundtrack

can you suggest anything??

This is a lovely toy but I want to play my slideshows!!

I have found a way of generating MPEG4 files from DVD PixPlay...

Try;

1 File > Burn Sideshow to Disk
2 Set "DVD Format" to "Other Video File"; click on "next"
3 Under "Video Options", set to "Custom Format"
4 Under "video Type", set to "MPEG-4"; click on "next"
5 Under "Slideshow Destination", click on "Save to Video File"; browse directory structure and select the directory required. PixPlay will automatically name your slideshow to "slideshow.mpeg4". If you want it to be something different, then enter the file name; click on "finish".
6 PixPlay will then generate your slideshow as an MPEG-4 file.

Hope this is of some help....

Guernsey is a great place to be from.....

Kind Regards

Nigel Nelson

My problem is solved! I burn to youtube video format from pixplay and then use a video converter to make an .avi from this version. This works perfectly and I was able to give a video slide-show to my WI last night using a pcket projector and tiny plug in speakers. Blew them away!!!
I recommend this toy to anyone who likes to share slideshows with family and friends!!
No wires and no fuss.

I was very interested to read of your enthusiasm for the answer thar you have found for showing your slides to others. Will you please be kind enough to tell me what equipment you have bought to do this job with, and a rough cost of the items. I would very much like to be able to do what you have accomplished and show some slideshows to our Probus club.

Thanks for that info. I have had a look on Amazon and ebay and like very much what I have read. All I need to do now is convince her indoors that it would be a good combined birthday pressy.
