Hi,

I have installed an evaluation copy of DVD Pixplay V4.01.

Including the IPTC-description, entered with Picasa, in a slideshow works fine.

I am wondering now if I should order the standard or the professional edition of DVD PixPlay if I want to use this feature :
- the compare html-page states that "Automatic captioning using camera fields" requires the professional edition
- forum-topic http://www.xequte.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=740 states : "In DPP4 - Professional Edition support was added for a lot of IPTC and EXIF fields."

So do I need the professional edition to be able to add the IPTC-description in my slideshows ?

Regards,
Sanderke

Hi Sanderke

The professional version adds support for a lot of extra IPTC and EXIF digital camera fields, however the IPTC description field is available even in the standard version.

You can automatically it to all fields by going into Edit > Slideshow Properties, Frame Captions tab. Select the Custom caption tab and choose the relevant item from the drop down list.

Or you can specify that each frame has its own description, then in the main window (on the bottom left) choose the description option just for the frames that should have it.

Or when you click the "Add Text" button you will see that the description is listed when you click the small down arrow beside the text box.
