| I have arranged 800+ family photos in 24 displays, ranging from years 1891 to 2000. Putting the folders together means that only the first four folders are shown in the index. I would like to maintain DVD user control over the sequence of viewing of the 24 folders. Is there any way I can enable my family to access a later display without having to go through all the earlier ones, a very time consuming activity? |

So you are using the multiple slideshow disk feature to add each folder as a separate slideshow on the disk?
The included templates have a maximum number of slideshows of six, so if you want to add more slideshows than that you need to click the "Customize Menu" option and add extra buttons for the other slideshows you are adding.
If customers require it we could include some extra templates that support much more than six slideshows. However with that many index button you would really want to customize it anyway to get it to look good.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I thought my problems were over but . .
I modified the menu by adding the titles of the sub-displays collected but on the burnt DVD the menu was unable to pickup the displays going back to the start. Where did I go wrong?

I'm sorry i'm not following you.
Perhaps you could send me some screen shots to help explain it.
(To create a screenshot display the program with the problem visible then select PrintScreen (or PrtScr) on the top of your keyboard. Using Microsoft Word or an image editor such as Paint, select Paste. Save the file, if possible as a JPEG if you are using an image editor and send it to us)

| Similar to Curt,I have your new version of DVD PixPlay and am making a DVD of more then six slideshows. I have customized the menu for ten slideshows and in the burning slide show process all 10 slideshows show burned but the menu will only access and let you play six slide shows even though it shows all ten on the menu. The selection underliner moves through all of the menu items, but only the first six slideshows will play. How do I make all 10 shows accessible. In otherwords, what is the process for making a menu when there is more than six slideshows. Thanks |

What specifically happens when you click the last four items on the menu? Does the first slideshow display or does nothing happen?
The most common problem we are seeing is that when people customize their menus they add new menu items but fail to specify the correct slideshow to display when clicked.
To check this click the "Customize Menu" button in the Multiple Slideshow wizard. Then double-click each of your menu items and ensure the correc slideshow is selected in the "Display the Slideshow" box.

Thank you Nigel. I solved my own problem. I had already done what you suggested making sure that the slideshow lined up with the menu item. What I didn't do was "add buttons" for additional slideshows over the normal six. When I did use the "add buttons", the menu worked perfectly for all ten items. by editing the button, I was able to use and underline each menu item with a legible color (red)
This is a great program and I am learning more about each time I use it. |
