Hi, I am having trouble with my first pic slideshow. This is to play in a dvd player to view on tv. I have pictures and music files. While watching the dvd, the music skips and the pictures distorts, and sticks on one picture for a long time. How should I burn this type of show? I am using CD-RW. Should I get a different type of CD or DVD to burn to? What settings should I change?
Thanks,

xequte

Hi

Firstly, what format did you choose? Assuming you have a DVD burner then it is best to use DVD format on DVD disks (name brand ones, not just the cheapest ones ).

Secondly, almost all skipping problems can be resolved by doing one or more of the following:
- Specifying the highest quality encoding option (using the Alternate encoder) on Step 3 of the "Burn Disk" wizard
- Going into View>Options, Advanced and changing the DVD MPEG Audio Setting

OK, if you don't have a DVD burner you will need to burn to CD disks.

Burning to CD Disks:

Decide which is more important; compatibility or quality.

If it is compatibility (with as many DVD players as possible) then use VCD or SVCD format.

If it is quality use either XVCD or DVD format
