Hi, when I send mail via MLK it does not recognise or mark the sent mail as "Sent" How do I get MLK to do this? Groups, I want members to only belong to 1 group for now, I have not checked the box to allow multiple group membership however members are being added to multiple groups. Thanks in advance great software. |

Hi Kieron
1. Sorry I'm not quite following. Do you mean in Outlook Sent Items folder it does not mark it as sent?
2. Were those addresses in multiple groups before you enabled the one group per member option, or were they added after?

Hi thanks for your reply! I am using MLK's servers to send out mail, however any emails which have been sent were not being recorded as being sent, at the moment mails which I do send I have to put those into vacation mode (hmm just what I need) so as not to send them again. problem is further hampered by the fact that emails are NOT being restricted to a single group which means customers are being caught with mail for soon to be (hopefully) new customers.
When I look at the sending history the mails are shown as sent but when filtering they are shown as not having been sent.
Now, I am sure I made a pigs ear of this but would like help on resolving these issues. I have no problem starting over if needed but I would like it to work as it did when I was an unpaid user. Hmm thinking of which could that have messed things up?
Sorry for my earlier post, I was having a pretty bad day. |

Do you mean that in the message window (View>Active Sending Tasks) that the messages stay there even after you send them.
Or do you mean for your members (e.g. Edit>Edit Current Member) it is not recorded that you have sent a message to the member?
Which filter are you using to show messages that are sent? What method did you use to select members to send to?

I think I am having a similar problem. I am not using outlook, though. I am using POP. When a group member sends an email to the list, it is plucked from the POP and sent. Then it is plucked again and sent. and again, etc. etc. The POP for messages is separate from the POP for subscribing, etc. There does not seem to be a way for the software to recognize that it has already forwarded the message, or to delete it from the server after retrieving it.
p.s. - I'm evaluating the software now and have not yet registered. Does the software timeout, or is it limited in some way prior to registering.
Thanks. |

Hi
Does this also happen with your subscribe/unsubscribe POP account (i.e. the messages are not deleted from the server after they are processed?)

The primary POP account for commands (subscribe, etc) works as it should. There is an "After Processing" section on the "Incoming" tab within "Options" where you can specify that messages are to be deleted after being read. I have not found a similar option for a secondary POP specified under "Member Messages Source" in the "Member Sending" tab. That might be the problem. |

That should not matter, as the same option would be used (deleted after it was processed).
I'll need to send you some debug logging info.

My screw-up - sorry.
I just realized that I was sending to the list and doing BCC to the members. So ... every time MLK read the message it then did delete it...but then proceeded to put it back in. I realized this after seeing that the heading went from:
*** Sender: Glenn Dardick <gdardick@dardick.net> - Date: 10/1/2007 ***
To:
*** Sender: Glenn Dardick <gdardick@dardick.net> - Date: 10/1/2007 *** *** Sender: Glenn Dardick <gdardick@dardick.net> - Date: 10/1/2007 *** etc. etc.
