This problem is probably caused by the fact I created a new database/mailing list yesterday.I put them in distinct folders.

The new dbase is seemingly working well, though I haven't yet tried a mass email through it.

The old dbase has all the old records. If I edit someone, the record displays properly, and indicates which groups the person is a member of. When I do a search on an email address, the relevant records are returned.

However, when I bring up the list of groups, something goes wrong. Against each group it indicates the expected number of members. But if I click to select a group I get no response - just the message that I have zero records out of a total of 3000+.

I would appreciate advice before I try experimenting too much. The new dbase is important and represents a fair amount of work. I would hate to have to do something like erase it.

Hi Louis

That is odd. Have you tried repairing the database?

Select File > Options, Database and click Optimize. Uncheck all the options except Repair, Optimize and Update Counts.
