Hi,

I've made the email validation with MLK that found 1800 of 24000 address invalid.
But this seems don't solve my problem:

i'm not able to send mail to my subscribers because
with my isp is quite impossible, and all the email service available
block me (Amazon SES , Sparkpost, Critsend...) due the fact i have
an high bounce rate ...

How much amail verification of MLK is realable?

Best Regards
Enrico Di Vico

Hi Enrico

Domain validation is reliable, but regular validation is not very reliable these days.

Actually the most reliable way to validate your addresses is just to send to your mailing list and then let MLK process the bounces and automatically remove the addresses that bounce too often.

The options for this are under View > Options, Delivery Failure.

Other SMTP services are available at:

Ok but at this moment i can't succed to send emails, my ISP block me,
and all the services i have mentioned in my topics...
(Amazon SES , Critsend , Sparkpost, postmark...)

I don't know how to do ! :(

I have collected about 22.000 email addreses in 23 years ,
for sure many of those emails are actually invalid.

MLK validation process says me 2.000 ara invalid (10%)

After that i've removed from my database this ivalid email address,
and try Sparkpost but they have suspend the service to me :(

Hi

There is not an easy solution to your issue. There is no true/reliable validation method available these days as most mail systems do not allow it.

Therefore the proper way to validate is to send to your mailing list and remove addresses that bounce back.

Of course, if you cannot find a provider that will allow you to send, then you are going to have difficulty.

I've found for myself that there is many EMAIL VALIDATION SERVICES online.

I make upgrade for your software from many years and this information can help
many people here...

Now i have to pray to SPARKPOST to re-activate my account,
they give 100.000 email/month with maximum of 20.000/day for FREE !!!!

All of this kind of service wants and need very cleaned databases , if not they cancel/de-activate the account

Hope this can be useful for others MLK customers

Hi Enrico

Validation works in two ways:
1. Checking the domain is valid (e.g. xequte.com)
2. Checking the username is valid on the domain (e.g. nigel@...)

#1 requires checking the domain and against a DNS server, and can be reliably performed by MLK and other such services.

#2 requires connecting to a mail server and partially sending a message but aborting before it completes. This is an unreliable processes as many mail servers will prevent this kind of query.
