I just bought a song a couple had for their wedding and wanted to put it on their proof slideshow. I downloaded it from itunes, and discovered after the fact that it came in m4p format. I've emailed itunes asking if I can change it somehow to mp3 or if I need to repurchase it, but they haven't responded to me after two days. Can any of you help? I'd never heard of m4p files. :)

iTunes will supply you a protected file so that you can only use it in compliance with their usage rules. There are probably tools available on the web to convert the file into MP3, though that would not be legal if the file is copyrighted.

There are many sites on the internet that offer legal, royalty free MP3 downloads. Try doing a google search for some.
