After sending approx. 1,000 emails (the entire list) using Amazon SES and MailList King 17.12R I got this message:

The emails appear to have been sent, so it isn't causing me a problem.

Thanks
David Nicholson.

(Sorry, I didn't trim the image.)

I've now seen that it stopped after 800 messages. Is this likely to be an Amazon rate limit? We were informed we could send 14 per second and 50,000 per day.

I found the task summary and tried to send the remaining items, but after a pause 'Waiting for inactivity', the same error is shown.

Thanks.
David Nicholson

Hi David

This looks like just an intermittent error on Amazon.

Are you using any speed/rate limiting? Are you using port 587/TLS or 465/SSL?

Does it work when you try it again today?

Nigel

Been away for a couple of days. I tried it again this morning and it sent the remaining emails. I set our rate limit to 840/minute (i.e. 14/sec) as quoted by Amazon.

It's set to port 25 with TLS (I can't remember whether I set this or it was the default).

It's our first send using SES so this part's new to us.

Thanks for your help.
David.
