Dear XEQUTE

We're using version 1123XR of MLK and are in dire need of a version
supporting StartTLS/Office365 (smtp.office365.com)

What are our options here? An upgrade or a new purchase?

Hi Martin

You can upgrade to the new version at:

SSL and TLS support was updated in v16.

Extraordinary,

We've now purchased the upgrade & wonder how best to apply it.

We have two local installation and a network share that is used for the MLK
database. Should we backup & restore to the new version or simply install
locally on top of the old one, hoping that it reassociates with the central DB.

Hi Martin

Yes, you should just install the new version "over top" of the old version. That way your settings and database will still be connected. For safety, you might want to make a backup of your database and settings, though a copy is made of them before upgrading anyway.
