Hello there,

I have got a mailing list of 200 contacts. Each of them need to receive a unique excel file.
So I've got 200 attachments.
I've tried adding in the path within the contact list, and seperately, but each test fails.
Could someone please help me with more detailed instructions on how to add these in please?

Thank you so much!

Hi Naomi

If you are sending to contacts in your mailing list then the best ways to do it would be:

1. Add the file to attach as a custom field

Create an import file in Excel with two columns. The first has the contact email address (Heading: "Email") and the second column the full path to the file to attach for that member (Heading: "FileToAttach"). Save it to CSV or XLS. Use File > Import in MLK to add these details to the mailing list. Naturally you will need to specify that FileToAttach is a new custom field.

In the message sending dialog, click Personalize, then "Attach Personalized File".

Specify: %Field:FileToAttach%

2. Piggyback on an existing field

Let's say that you have named each file to match the member ID for the contact in MLK. Then you could specify the following as an attachment:

C:\Some Folder\Personalized%MemberID%.xls

If you are simply sending to contact list file, then just add a column with the full path to the file to attach for that contact.
