Hi Nigel;
Is it possible to run MLK and the database from a USB thumb drive and if so how would this be set up. This could create portability for us which I would like to include in my presentation to management. Thanks

The answer is yes if you use Windows to Go. With Windows to Go you could use it on any computer or Surface which runs current version of Windows.

Hi

You could run MLK from a thumb drive, if you first ran a registry script with the following content:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xequte\MailList King]
"EachDBHasOwnSettings"="True"

There would need to be a \DB\ folder containing the database, and \DB\Config\ containing the settings folder.

It is unlikely to run perfectly (it couldn't connect to Outlook without further configuration and there may be path issues) but it may be enough for a presentation.
