A final question is on batch sending. The batch sending might be a great work around for some of the issues we have faced sending individual emails to large mailing lists.

A few questions:

1) When sending via batch, does the "Specify email address" have to be a true email address or can I simply use "Latest News" or something to that effect rather than "latestnews@mydomain.com". In other words does it have to contain an email address to work properly.

2) When sending via batch if I have a limit of 1000 in an hour and I set it for 250 per batch, does it then follow the ISP limits for only sending 1000 in an hour.

Thanks Nigel

I figured out everything by trial and error however the same problem exists here as well plus I have sent you a private email with a screen shot showing that the scheduling fails when it comes to the change of a day. I set the limit to not more than XXX an hour and started sending near the end of the day shortly before midnight. Then the program showed that it was ready to resend right after midnight, not within 60 minutes of the previous send. You can see it in my email. Thanks Nigel. Glad to get these bugs worked out.

Hi Bruce

1. You should definitely use a compliant email address or you run the risk of your message being marked as spam

2. Yes, the ISP limits take precedence over your batch settings, so even if your batch is 500 every ten minutes, for example, it will still max out at 1000 per hour.

Sadly we are finding with all three copies of MLK that the limitation problem we noticed with the individual sending also exist with the batch sending. We are looking forward to the fix in your next release. Thanks Nigel.

Hi Bruce

Yes, but you can also use batch sending to stay under your ISP Limits, e.g. if the limit is 1000 messages per hour then you could sending in batches of 1000 per seventy minutes, for example.
