Hello Nigel
I am getting a lot of coloured pixelation when I play my show on a fairly new (3-4 year old) Sony Bravia while on an much older set none at all can I correct this in any way?

What type of connection are you using on the TV—composite or HDMI?

Composite will look terrible. You'll want to be using HDMI, Component(Y/Pb/Pr), VGA or at the very least S-video. DVD's will always look terrible on a high def TV because dvds are only 480P and the TV is 1080P, so the DVD is being blown up to 4 times it's original size (twice the width, twice the height) which will cause pixelation or blurriness.

Use the Red/Green/Blue for video and the White/Red for sound

Change the settings on the DVD player to 16:9 from 4:3 Letterbox/Pan&Scan
Then change from Interlaced to Progressive

I am playing through a DVD player on a disc I created for showing both on a PC or TV.

Hi Hugh

Is the pixelation consistent (i.e. everytime you view the same frame), or does it seem to change with repeat viewings?

Have you tried specifying the highest quality encoding option (using the Alternate encoder) on Step 3 of the "Burn Disk" wizard?

See also if it makes any difference if you disable the transitions and/or motion effects.
