I ended up in the uneviable position of having to re-install MLK with all databases intact--including the autoresponders.

This is not working, despite the fact that all the autoresponders are intact OUTSIDE the program. But when attempting to access them from inside the program, nothing is listed, for example, in the "automatic message responding rules".

The directory structure is intact as well, so I don't know what I'm missing. I tried doing the DB optimization, to no avail.

Please advise.

update on this... MLK is pointing to the correct DB file (in AppData in Vista). The config file and Responder files are intact and the files in the Responder directory come up in MLK when I click on them in Windows file manager, but they don't show up in MLK itself. All subscribers, groups and histories seem to be intact--it's just the autoresponders that are not showing up.

Hi Boyd

Click Ctrl+Shift+I in the main window of MLK. Choose the settings folder option. In the displayed folder open the file ResponderRules.ddt in Notepad. Does it list all of your auto-responders?

Well, it displays the directory where the directory "Responders" is, which is where they all are.

I did try copying the files in "Responders" to the /DB directory that is pointed to from doing Ctrl-Shift-I, but nothing changed. Now, I'm mainly referring to the Automatic Message Responding Rules page. But, also missing is the Subscribe and Unsubscribe message, and all the Automatic EMail Address Retrieval Tasks that I set up.

I'm pretty sure my copy of MLK is corrupted. I can't even get it to respond to web forms anymore. Guess it's time to upgrade...

Hi Boyd

You might want to email me your database and settings folders.

To do this run MLK and click Ctrl+Shift+I to display your database folder. Then close MLK and put all the files named MLK_*.* into a zip.

You can skip any files named mlk_send_task_*.* or OLD_mlk_log.*

Do the same for the settings folder.

If the zip is too large to email then might want to use a web transfer service:
