I tried adding a AVI video from my RCR video camcorder (I downloaded the video to my external hard drive first) to a DVD Pixplay project. DVD Pixplay stated it did not recognize the file format. I read the DVD Pixplay FAQs so I installed codecs and the new video format plugin. Now when I try to add this AVI video in DVD Pixplay, DVD Pixplay shuts down and the error states that DVD Pixplay encountered a problem and must shutdown. I am running DVD Pixplay version 4.07 (lower version than the current version). Any suggestions?

Hi

DVD PixPlay uses codecs to show videos when previewing, but this does not help if the formats are unsupported anyway.

Newer versions of DVD PixPlay automatically convert unsupported video formats:

In older versions you will need to convert the video to MPEG format prior to adding it to your project.
