Just installed MLK11
First I get this message:
quote:
An error was encountered while loading the mailing list database in the folder xxx
Unknown or unexpected database engine error #11010
Do you want MLK to attempt to repair it?

The repairing proces starts but eventually finishes with
quote:
An error was encountered when repairing your database; DBISAM Engine Error #11010 Table or backup file mlk_cust does not exist

I do have a file called mlk_cust.ddt

The database opened fine yesterday with MLK 10.

What can I do to recover the database?

Hi Adrian

The database has not been affected. Please download the new version again and the problem will be resolved.

Hi Nigel,
I redownloaded version 11.
File name mlking_regtd_11.0.316.1156_813.exe was unaltered and byte count was the same as I'd downloaded previously.
I reinstalled it and got exactly the same errors.

So then just in case the database had been corrupted, I restored the database from backup, reinstalled MLK 10, and ran the MLK10 optimise database (which seems to include a repair function).
This completed fine.
After that I reinstalled MLK11 but I'm still getting the error #11010 followed by, after MLK has attempted a repair, "Table or backup file mlk_cust does not exist".

Any more suggestions?

Adrian

Hi Adrian

The file that you mention is the updated one.

Is your database too large to email to us?

To do this display your database folder and put all the files named MLK_*.* into a zip. You can skip any files named mlk_send_task_*.* or OLD_mlk_log.*

If the zip is too large to email then might want to use a web transfer service:

or
