Hi Nigel,
This is not a serious problem to me, just a minor inconvenience that I have been meaning to mention to you for a few months now.
When I click on the Preview Button, about 40%-50% of the time it plays that one frame only (or sometimes only a portion of that one frame) and stops. What I normally want to do is to either play several frames or the entire remaining portion of the slideshow. Clicking on it again always accomplishes that. The problem never occurs twice in succession.
Sometimes what I wish to view is the actual transition of image and music from a certain point to another. It is frustrating when it starts playing and doesn't go as far as the second frame in the group. Then I have to repeat the process in order to completely see what I was hoping to see right away, without the preview being aborted. As I mentioned, that happens very frequently. Am I missing something or is there some easy fix to this problem? Thanks.

Hi Murray
If you move the mouse to the bottom corner of the screen and instantiate the preview using the keyboard shortcut, F11. Does it still happen?

It didn't occur to me to try the F11 key. Testing it now, it seems to operate properly 100% of the time using either the Preview Button or the F11 key. Thinking back, it occurs to me that when it did happen, it was almost always following some operation(s) in developing the slide show; e.g., adding pictures, editing a picture, adjusting the timing, adding music, etc. I will check on this again the next time I create an actual slideshow, compare the results I get using both previewing techniques, and let you know what happens.
Thanks for the suggestion. If it turns out that it works properly all of the time when using the F11 key, I suppose I can conclude that it is related somehow to the optical mouse I am using.

OK, it will be mouse hypersensitivity. This won't occur in the next release as we no longer exit the slideshow when the mouse moves.

Hi Nigel,
I regret to say that I am still experiencing this same problem every so often, even when not moving the mouse or when using the F11 key You indicated that it was something that would be corrected in the ensuing release, but apparently a small glitch still remains.
Again, when it does occur it seems to be just after I have done some type of editing of the frames, such as adding image motions, adding text, editing a picture, changing a transition, rearranging the frame sequence, etc. Immediately following such activity, I generally want to play back the slideshow from the point where the changes were instituted, although sometimes I play from the very beginning again. I do believe it's not occurring as frequently as before the program updates you made, but all too often the playback terminates after the first frame is displayed, whether activated by the Preview Button or by pressing the F11 key.
Do you have any ideas as to what may be causing this?
