I can't explain this, but some, (not all) of the config setting from two installs of MLK are missing. (I'm running four instances of MLK on one XP computer. – So why only two were affected I can’t explain.) Running the latest ver of MLK, (installed it about a month ago), but noticed this yesterday after latest Windows patches were applied with Windows Automatic Updates. (Don’t see how that could possibly have caused this.)
Missing is the sending email config, password for sending RAC, but not but not the list of people who can send using RAC.

Any idea what some info from the config file is missing?
As a result of this I’d like to make a feature request – Can you add a nightly back-up of the config file or files? Could be part of the nightly mailing list backup. Or could be to an email address one specifies.
And maybe add to that any email template files.

Thanks
Doug

Hi Doug

Hmmm, i can't think what could have occured there. Do you run multiple instances of MLK for each database, or one instance and load each database in turn?

Personally i think this kind of backup should be handled by your standard backup practice. MLK is responsible for creating a back-up of its database in a universal format, but you should add all of its files and folders to your backup script.

However hopefully in the next update we will make MLK save a backup of the last good configuration of each settings file.
