Hi,
I have a problem. I am trying to integrate MLK 5.0 with an email program. The specific problem is trying to get MLK to read an in box and process new messages.
First I tried Eudora, but it wouldn't read the inbox using MAPI. So I thought, ok, MLK is really integrated with Outlook, so I tried integrating with Outlook 2002. Now I still cannot read the Outlook inbox to process messages.
It took me a while of fiddling around with the setup to choose the Outlook inbox as the folder to look for new messages, including getting the error message "The profile name is not valid Enter a valid profile name". I thought I was homefree at that point, but then:
When I go to process messages from the inbox, I get a couple of Outlook error messages:
"The profile name is not valid. Enter a valid Profile name".
After clicking the box on that, I get the message:
"C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Addins\wfoladin.dll is not a valid Office Add-in"
I also get this last error message when I simply start up Outlook.
Using Windows explorer and going to the Addins folder, there is no such file as wfoladin.dll (or any file, for that matter).
I'm really stuck here, can someone help?

Hi Phil
I'm not sure, with some versions of Outlook I belive it is an installation option when installing Outlook, so try reinstalling Outlook.
Otherwise you will need to try the Winfax site.

Hi Nigel,
I appreciate your reply. I just found that article myself. The problem I have now is that the first thing they tell you to do is find the wfoladin.dll file on my computer. I did a search and it doesn't exist. The article really doesn't specify what to do in that case. Any ideas?

Wow, you're really not having much fun ;-) Usually Outlook is the easiest integration option because it generally does not require any configuration.
Outlook failing with wfoladin.dll (Symantec WinFax) is a known Microsoft issue, refer to their resolution at the following page:

Nigel, I see you have answered Phil's problem which is very similar, I have tried re-installing Microsoft Office (fully) but I did try removing Winfax recently Symantec Winfax Pro when I try to uninstall the message "Unable to locate the installation log file C:\Program Files\WinFax\WFXUNIST.ISU'Uninstallation will not continue" Cheers Pam |

The issue is not related to our software, so i know little about it. Have you tried searching the Winfax site for a resolution?
Otherwise try reinstalling Office.
