It does not happen all the time but when it does it is very frustrating and takes a lot of time to clear out.
After executing an email to 290 users, I noticed 124 email hung up in the MS outlook outbox. At that point I was also unable to send out emails for the most part.
I was also generally unable to delete emails from the outlook outbox folder or i had to delete them over time for some inexpicable reason.
Of course i received NO error message and I have no idea why certain emails are getting hung up in outbox. Mike |

I was able to get mine to send. I had to open each email and click send. Then an error message came up asking me to "select the address to use:" from my address book. I don’t think it was about the recipient, but for the sender (I think). I attached an image of the error. I created a contact that matched my sending account and the message went. Unfortunately i had to do this for about 600 messages out of 1400. Any idea what caused this?

Hi
What version of Outlook and MLK are you using?
Under View > Options, Sending are you using either the option to override the default email and/or a custom sending account?
What are your settings under View > Options, Other, Outlook Settings?

Hi
V8 is not Outlook 2010 compliant as it was released a few years beforehand, though generally you can get it working with the right options. Are you using Outlook 32 bit or 64 bit version?

Nigel,
Both Outlook 2007 and 2010 are 32bit. My issue happened using Outlook 2007. I updated to Outlook 2010 the next day. Do you have a newer version that is compatible with outlook 2010?

Hi Marc
Yes, v10 is compatible with Outlook 2010 but if it started occurring with 2007 then that is not your problem.
Please email me the log file for the sending task:
1. Run MLK and click Ctrl+Shift+I. 2. Check the box to display your "Sending Logs" folder and click "OK" 3. In that folder your log files are named "mail_sent_*.txt" with the date of the delivery included in the name. Find the files of the relevant date and send them to me

Hi Ian
Have you tried restarting Outlook?
If you click Send/Receive does an error icon pop up in the Outlook status bar? If so, does clicking it reveal an error?

Closing/reopening outlook - no effect.
Send/receive no effect
I ended up having to open each of 300 emails and press send on each one :-(
No error messages
Only other info maybe relevant is the mail account is MS Exchange. The new ms 360 online thing
Also I have a tracking plug in installed: zendit.com. It parses each email before sending ... |

Hi Ian
I haven't had experience with the new Exchange release, but haven't heard of any problems from other customers either.
WHat are your settings under View > Options, Other, Outlook Settings?

Hi Ian
Please try disabling the extended MAPI option and then do a test sending.
Failing that:
1. Run MLK and click Ctrl+Shift+I to display your key folders 2. Check the settings folder and click OK 3. CLOSE MAILLIST KING 4. Double-click the settings.ini file to open it in Notepad 5. Find the line:
SendExtendedMapiMsgsFromOutbox=True
And change it to:
SendExtendedMapiMsgsFromOutbox=False
6. Click Save
Otherwise you may want to have MLK send via normal SMTP instead of Outlook.

Hi Nigel I know this is an old thread but I have exactly the same issue as Ian Goldsmith. Over 400 MLK emails stuck in Outlook 2007 Outbox. These are there as a result of the Delivery Failure setting: On the Final Attempt - send via Name OUTLOOK, in Internal Server Settings Sending Profile. I have found no way to send these emails in one go (tried all suggestions here and elsewhere on web)- I can only send them one by one. Trouble is I have a life! IS there any work round for this bug yet? Thanks
P.S. After trying to send each email seperately, they bounce from my Exchange Server with this message:
quote: Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:
David Sxxxxx You are not allowed to send this message because you are trying to send on behalf of another sender without permission to do so. Please verify that you are sending on behalf of the correct sender, or ask your system administrator to help you get the required permission.

Hi Andrew
Did you try disabloing the option to send from the Outbox (as above)?
You could also try disabling Extended MAPI (under File > Options, Other, Outlook Options).
