I have been using Amaze since about 2001 or so and have been through many versions, but it seems this recent version does not do a slideshow for "unlimited" files? In other words, if i have 450,000 files it looks like Amaze can only handle 250,000 of these files give or take? I swear the older versions of Amaze handled a lot more than that or really was unlimited? Any idea on how to change this or can you update this in the next version?

Hi

There is no specific limit, but with very large lists such as you mention then memory could be an issue.

What version of Windows are you using?

Got it to work correctly & now it displays ALL & Everything Correctly!!!!!!! It looks like Amaze doesnt like certain folders? Because when I changed the name and renamed them folders or moved them everything works now. Some folders were originally named with a number in front of them i.e. 1newpicts, and also www.xquetepictures.com or something like that?

Also, i noticed that Amaze does not like mulitple numbered folders underneath a certain folder, etc. i.e. 1folder, 002folder, etc...After fiddling around with the folders and renaming some folders i got it to work and show in Amaze, etc. What's weird is that this did not work for everything?

For example, a folder had just one picture in it so these didn't work either...but once i moved that 1 picture out into a new or different folder that had many pictures in it, it worked fine. So it looks like Amaze does not like a folder with just one .bmp or .jpg in it, etc but only likes several pictures without multiple confusing folders within. Hmmmmm, something to chomp on anyway....but i did get it to work correctly after trial and error and trial and error again.

Hey Nigel, extra note also: could you update Amaze to do a few things extra? Try and correct these folder issues and also about some extra features too pleae?

Would it be too much to put picture in backround changing while picture in foreground changes...just a thought? Or what i've always really wanted was the stagnant bi-colors in the backgroound ...could they also morph into other favorite colors while the screensaver is running to provide a true psychedelic effect while watching pictures!? Use to have a DVD player that did this but they dont make it anymore and miss that effect.

Man, these would be really awesome n cool...please bring those features to the next version and to TOP OFF the Best Screensaver in the World would be the next BIG Best Screensaver in the Universe!!!!

Hi

I can't see any technical reasons why Amaze would have a problem with folders named as you mention or with only one file in them, but I'll investigate it further when we do the next update.

Thanks for your suggestions regarding background changing. We'll see what we can do.
