Is there a way to protect the configuration of amaze so that a password must be entered before any settings can be changed?

Hi

I'm afraid there is not an option for that at this time.

If I tell you our use for it you might understand my reason for the query.
We are installing some flat screen PCs on our shop floor to run a new manufacturing software system. I have used amaze for a couple of years now on my own PC. My idea was to use amaze as a company notice board which can run when the software is idle, the notices are taken from a shared folder so all the PCs see the same notices and notices can be changed very easily.
The reason for the password protection is I wouldn`t want anybody changing the settings as I`m sure would be obvious.
Anyway we have bought licenses for amaze for these PCs and set them up, we will see how we go

Hi

That seems like a reasonable enhancement. We will consider that for a later update. We may be able to add it as custom development if your needs are pressing (if so, email me directly).

I`m pleased you think that my idea might be considered for a future enhancement.

At the moment though the thin clients we are using for our shop floor are locked down so that any changes made to the TC will be lost when it re-boots, although I`ve not tested this re-set with Amaze it should work but we`ll see.
