running on windows 7, latest version 2 of siteup; when I add or edit a site, the Check Site for Text button always says that the page does not contain the text entered, even when it does. Get the dialog to view the source, so click on that button and only get a dialog that shows the following:
Bad Request
This worked fine in previous version, but thought that version 2 would fix a problem with running it on windows 7. After making any changes to the sites and clicking Close and Start Monitoring, get an error message: An error was encountered saving your settings and the only option is an ok button. Click the ok button and it appears that siteup is working okay, but wonder why I get the error. What can I do to fix these issues? |

Hi
It should work fine on Windows 7. It uses Internet Explorer at the back-end so there might be an update there that has introduced an issue.
Did you try right-clicking SiteUp.exe and trying some of the compatibility options?

With ver 2 of siteup, I set the Program Files/siteup.exe file properties to "Run as administrator" and that setting still does not see the text that is on the web page, and trying to view the source still shows only a single line of text
Bad Request

This setting does get rid of the error that displays when exiting the config screen though, so that appears to be a permission problem.
I uninstalled ver 2, then installed ver 1.1 again (I had a backup of the original siteup setup), then set the exe file with the "Run as Aministrator" option, and that appears to work fine - all the setup screens act normally, etc.
