Hi
About the soundtracks of videos in the slideshows
Usually I extract the soundtracks of my videos with VLCmedia player
Then I make the videos mute with Windows movie maker
Then I insert the mute version of my video in my PXP project
Afterwards I have to add the soundtrack
here is the problem of synchronisation image/sound
In PXP we know when a picture begins: e.g "the picture begins at 3'25""
Is it possible to know more accurately when a picture begins so that the soundtrack could match better the video
When the video shows somebody speaking, its not good if the sound is not well synchronised; half a second is enough to make the video unpleasant
I hope you understand what I mean
Thanks

Michel

Hi Michel

You can automatically mute videos in DVD PixPlay by selecting Edit > Slideshow Properties, Music and choosing the sound files option (note that it may still play the soundtrack during the preview).

Next if you display the details mode under the View menu you can see when each frame starts. You can also display this info over the preview using the setting under View > Options, Other, Advanced.

Hi Nigel
I'm sorry but you dont answer my question
My question is: can I know when begins a picture or a video in a slideshow created with PXP more acurately than a second; is it possible to have the timing in 1/10 of second? It would be better to match exactly the sound with the video
Thanks

Michel

Hi Michel

Sorry missed that point. At this time sub-second timing is not supported (or displayed).
