Hi Nigel ... May I ask for clarification please?
What exactly are the conditions that determine, when I try to burn a multi-show DVD, whether or not the message offering to rebuild changed shows comes up? Is it dependent on file tims-stamps? Or something else maintained by DVD PixPlay?

Hi

It compares the last save date for that project (stored within its pxp file) with the date that the video for it was created (when last using the multiple slideshow creation wizard).

Thanks Nigel.
Where does it store the information about last video creation?
The reason I am concerned is this. I use my laptop to do the very time-consuming processes, such as video creation. Then I synchronise my laptop with my desktop machine (using Microsoft's SyncToy).
So I suppose this is thwarting PixPlay's attempts to know what needs to be redone?

Hi

It is saved as a field in the multishow project's mpx file.

If you sync the mpx file and the associated video to the correct files in your secondary computer then PixPlay should not prompt you to confirm a rebuild.
