A new problem for me, after using MLK for 3 years :
Everytime I send a message with MLK Pro using your internal SMTP server (1 message / 1 recipient), my sending email address gets blocked after. I can't use it unless I unblock it.

The message I get :

554 5.7.1 service refused. The mail server address you're using is listed on Spamhaus Exploits Block List (XBL). For more information and how to be removed from the blacklist you or you mail administrator can go to http://www.spamhaus.org/xbl/index.lasso

Hi

What sending method are you using? If it is regular SMTP then that block may refer to the IP of your ISP's mail server. In which case you should contact them.

It may alternatively be a block on your IP address, but if you disconnect and reconnect to your ISP you should be assigned a new IP address.

Hi Nigel
I use the MLK's internal SMTP server with the default DNS server, as recommanded. The thing I don't understand is that I didn't change anything in my sending method for 3 years. I have around 1000 recipients for my newsletter (message sent one by one).
You're talking about changing my IP address, but I thought that an IP address was a fixed thing ?
Anyway, this new problem is strange...

Hi

It depends on your ISP. Usually you have a dynamic IP address that is assigned when you connect. So you only need to disconnect and then reconnect to be assigned a new IP.

If you are on a business account you may well have fixed IP address.

More of a question is why you are being put on the blacklist. You might be able to find more info on the Spamhaus faq for mail administrators.

Due to your small sending list you should consider using normal SMTP via your ISP (assuming you can stay under their limits).
