Anybody have any ideas how I can (easily) create vertically scrolling text in/for PixPlay.
I witnessed a slide show the other day that opened with same and, as it moved, the earlier words shrank and disappeared as it reached the top of the frame. It was very effective!
I did ask the presenter how it was done but he had no idea as it was done by a school in his area and I have been unable to contact that school.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Presently animation of objects is not supported, but we will consider it for a coming version.

I have seen a number of clients using the transition effects to roll out the display of their text.

Hi Nigel
Thanks for your prompt reply and advice.
Just how would you go about creating a moving text using transition effects - could you give me some pointers?
I will be putting on a demonstration at our local camera group on creating a slideshow with PixPlay so any tips would be appreciated,

Thanks
Hugh

Hi Hugh

First create a blank page (Edit > Title Page and then delete all content)
Then create your title page.
For the title page choose an appropriate transition (Frame > Frame Properties, Transition).

Another way I have seen that is quite effective was:
Create your title page (with custom background and other objects)
Copy the title page (Ctrl + C) and paste it (Ctrl + V) before its position
Edit the copy to remove just the text
Use a dissolve transition

That has the text slowly appear into view and looks quite slick

Hello again Nigel
I have been successful in getting the desired effect by using Windows Movie Maker.
File>New>Tools>Titles & Credits
I then change Title Animation to "Scroll, Perspective" and type in the text I want.
Then save the movie file - it saves it as a .wmv file.
Then I import this file into my Cyberlink PowerDirector program and reproduce it as a .avi file, and add it to my PixPlay project. Think I've covered all the steps.
Sounds complicated and a lot of work but it was worth it!
Regards
Hugh
