When a person orders something from our shopping cart, an automatic message is triggered:
Your order for our unique products has been received on Invoice # %FIELD:INVOICE%, in the amount of %FIELD:TOTAL%.
In version 6.26 this was working fine. Now it doesn't work. The fields are blank in the automatic message.
All custom fields are accounted for and filled out in the individual records (i.e. the invoice number and sale total number is recorded in the buyer's MLK record).
Why are these fields not getting populated?

Well, I'm having the same problem again. I sent up a custom field of "message" but when I call %field:message% in an automatic email, the system returns a blank. Please advise...I'm using 15.02

And, I might add... It's not picking up on %FirstName% or %Lastname%, instead it uses the email address prefix. Mmmmm....

Are you sure the message includes a valid name in the email address field?
Can you send me a log where you have processed an automated message and MLK replied incorrectly.

Yes, there is a valid email address--the other fields fill in just fine, just not the custom field.

I can't seem to get it to show up in the log. I've been doing Ctrl shft I -- is that right? It does give me the options, but the file doesn't write.

Hi Boyd
Right-click where it says "Home" on the main window and choose:
Advanced > Debug Logging > Normal
Then reproduce the problem.
Finally, right-click "Home" and choose:
Advanced > Display MLK Folders > Debug Logs Folder
And email me the most recent log.

OK, I think I've got it. Here's the message in Automatic messages:

By now, you should have found out what your Body Type is. This is very useful information, as it gives you a starting point for achieving your health and wellness goals.
You also said: %Field:Message%
Both the FirstName field and Message fields were not placed in the automatic generated message by MLK. Although it looks like it did parse correctly.
