unsubscribed users continues to get mail despite being unsubscribed,
when they then try to unsubscribe they obviously fail, as they were already unsubscribed. I.e. they recieve mail i send to defrault group, AFTER being unsubscribed.
I have a maillinglist with 2000 subscribers with an average of 30 new a day. I have never been able to get the unsubscribe to work correctly, now its becoming a growing problem with more frustrated memebers trying desperately to unsubscribe - even when I do it manually, it give problems. I have mlk v7.30r

No this is not it.
see please first post, sample log.
MLK keeps unsubscribed email adresses who then frantically continues to recive mail AFTER been unsubscribed.
It makes no difference if its me manually removing or automatic.
Is reinstalling a possible solution? if so how
do I do this WITHout erasing existing database?

Hi
1. Have you tried repairing the database:

2. What method do you use to create the recipient list for your mailings?
3. If you click "To" on the message sending dialog, does checking the option to "Exclude Unsubscribed Addresses" affect the issue
4. Are you able to reproduce the issue with a test address?

Hmmm, this one is quite bizarre. The only thing i can think of is that somehow "joe@blow.blow" appears twice in your database (which should not be possible) and/or the database has been corrupted in some way.
Did you check after the "unsubscribe" whether the address still existed in the list?
Please do the following:
1. Run MLK
2. Select File>Optimize Database
3. UNCHECK all options
4. Check the option to repair the database
5. Click OK
Then you might want to try doing some test subscribes and unsubscribes to confirm everything is working as expected.

I still have the same problem
I have tried yor suggestion and tested, problem remains.
Every time I make a new mailing to the enire list, supposedly unsubscribed members recieve a mail.
The result is infuriated public - NOT good!
Please help

Hi
Have you checked whether the member still exists in the database?
If not, it may be due to the use of forwarding addresses or mail aliases.
For example, the user may have signed up to your list using an e-mail address from an old ISP, and mail sent to the old address is being automatically forwarded to their new one.
Ask the user if they have any other addresses that you might check. Failing that you will need to have them check the header of the message to see what address was used to reach them. Instructions for this are at:
