I installed the new version and don't see much of a difference from the last version; should there be a cosmetic difference? Will I be able to burn to a DVD player more easily than before?

V4.0 is a major upgrade incorporating numerous improvements to styling and functionality.

I believe Nigel did it this way so that the average user will not notice many cosmetic changes(more like XP AND VISTA) but the performance will be vastly improved. It is like putting a new engine into a car--it looks the same but the horsepower and performance is notice and not the outside styling of the car.

Hi Carol

Jim's right. From the main window you shouldn't notice much difference. Everyone would be afraid to upgrade if we modified the user interface with each big release. You'll notice big changes if you click the "Title Page" button, Options, etc.

Also there are many features that simply weren't in the old version:
- File > Burn Multiple Slideshow to Disk
- File > Open and Browse to a Power Point slideshow
- File > Burn Slideshow and choose the YouTube format

You're not kidding when you mean better performance. Before this upgrade i would generate a 1,822 picture slideshow. Each pic is about 800x1200 resolution. I would generate a 2 hour slideshow with textured background and music. It took 10 hours to generate.

Using this new version with everything the same, it ran in 3 1/2 hours. I was very happy about that. 10 hours was too long for me.

I was hoping you would have an option to create multiple slideshows on one dvd and you did in this upgrade. You pulled through again.

So don't judge a book by it's cover. This was an awesome upgrade. The bugs were fixed from what i've seen so far. Before backgrounds wouldn't work in my slideshows, now they do.

My hats off to you guys. You outdid yourselves.
