Hi
There are many questions about sound of videos
Is there a way to get a video mute?
My problem is this one:
as it is not possible to keep the sound of a video unless to put the videos at the beginning of a slideshow, I extract the sound and then I synchronize it at the right time in the background sound
BUT, when previewing I hear both sounds and I cant know if the synchronization is good
So, is it possible not to hear the sound of a video when previewing or do you know the way to get a video mute as I will have extracted the sound (with VLC media player) before
I hope you see what I mean!
Thanks

Hi Michel

Due to the way PixPlay uses Windows drivers for previewing it will always play the video soundtrack, even if you have chosen to have it muted or use other background music.

However when you burn the disk, the soundtrack is not included (you can confirm by clicking File>Burn Slideshow and then "Test").

Hi Nigel
Thank you for your answer
Yet, I have another problem
I made a slideshow with pictures and videos
I made a sound track with Audacity which was perfectly synchronized when previewing
I burnt the slideshow and the sound was no longer synchronized when I watched it!
Do you see what could have happened?
Thanks

Under View>options>general make sure you check the box for "use accurate time" before you burn the disc.

Hi NIgel
I burnt it in MPEG format, AVI(Divx)
Is that could be a problem?
Thanks

No, that should not be a problem. If you time your pictures with the background music then creating a DVD or DivX video should time correctly, assuming:

- You previewed/timed the slideshow with the accurate preview timing option enabled
- Your image display times are not too short (i.e. at least 3 seconds or so).

Hi Nigel
Actually, I think I found why it does't work
The duration of the sound track was longer than the pictures and videos
I didnt pay attention to that; I thought the durations were the same but I made a mistake
I'll tell you fi I solved my problem
Thanks
