I'm trying to add music to my slideshow but it isn't working. I bought the product rather than just using the trial because it says it'll give me more music options. After clicking the background music, the area that says "specify the source of the soundtrack for the slideshow" is grayed out. Plus when I click "add soundtrack" it doesn't allow me to add my music. Any advice

What sort of files are you using? You need to use MP3 or WAV files with DVD PixPlay.

To add sound files to your project select Edit>Slideshow Properties from the menu, and select the Background Music tab. Click the Add button and then browse to the folder containing your downloaded files.

The extra music should be found in C:\PROGRAM FILES\DVD PIXPLAY\MUSIC You should probably copy the music you want to use for your slideshow into this file to make it easier to remember where the music you want to use is located.

Also, when I select Background Music, the two choices at the top (maintain soundtrack of files when video clips play...and override the video soundtrack with background music) is grayed out. Why is that? Any hints?
Thanks again,

What version of DVD PIXPLAY are you using?

The following statement does not appear in version 3.34:
"the two choices at the top (maintain soundtrack of files when video clips play...and override the video soundtrack with background music) is grayed out."

Go to the HELP command menu and click on ABOUT to find your version.
Are you sure you are using DVD PIXPLAY ---this message sounds like it comes from a different product.

Hi

Presently DVD PixPlay can only use the sound track of the videos in a slideshow if there are no images except after the final video. So to hear the video soundtrack you will need to do as follows:
i. Select Edit>Other>Move Videos to Start
ii. Select Edit>Select Background Music on the menu
iii. On the dialog that is displayed choose the option to use the video soundtrack as the source of the slideshow sound (if you are presented with the usual background music dialog, rather than a window with the title "Video Soundtrack" then there are still images or title pages that are remaining in your project).

We will address this limitation for a coming update.
